Please read your bill carefully front and back. Your local collector information is on the front. The County collection information is on the back. Please be sure the amount you are paying is printed on the bottom of your bill; or if outdated, call to get a current amount due. Incorrect payments will be returned to sender.

Date Tax Payable
January 1st Town/County taxes mailed, lien on property, due January 31st without interest. Local Collector January 1st through March 31st
April 1st Delinquent unpaid town/county taxes turned over to the County for collection. County Treasurer April 1st of current year until 3 years after lien date, additional fees apply.
May 1st Olean City taxes mailed, due May 31st without interest. City of Olean May 1st through October 31st
June 1st Village taxes mailed, due June 30th without interest. School September 1st through October 31st
September 1st School taxes mailed, due September 30th without interest. School September 1st through October 31st
November 1st Delinquent unpaid City/Village/School taxes turned over to County for collection and re-levy, no longer payable separately. County with additional fees November 1st through November 15th only, then re-levied to next town/county bill.
January 1st through March 31st Pay prior years delinquent town/county taxes before the current year is returned April 1st to avoid paying the newest tax first. All delinquent Town/County taxes payable to County Treasurer.
