Orientation / Career Planning Workshop
Orientation
This presentation provides an overview of the job search and career
development resources and services offered through the One Stop. In addition, it will provide you with an introduction to the Resource Area.
Career Planning Workshop
This workshop provides information on a variety of tools in order to research career opportunities and the steps necessary for achieving specific goals. Formulating training plans & financial aid resources will also be discussed.

Starting the Job Search
This workshop is geared toward setting work preferences, identifying transferable skills, compiling your work history, and managing
stress.
Job Club
Job Club is held every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month from 3:00 to 4:00 pm
Finding your next Job
This workshop is to provide information on networking for job leads, making direct employer contacts, researching employers, and completing applications successfully.
Resumes and Cover Letters
This workshop assists in selecting the resume best suited for you, targeting your skills, completing a cover letter, and critiquing a current resume.
Effective Interviewing
This workshop consists of preparing yourself for an interview, provides sample interview techniques, Thank You and follow-up letters and closing interviews.
TABE Testing
A basic skills assessment to establish current reading & math levels is offered every:
- Tuesday beginning at 4:00 p.m.
- Wednesday beginning at 11:30 a.m.
- Thursday beginning at 8:30 a.m.
Thursday from 8:30 a.m. - 9:45 a.m. or Tuesdays at 5:00 p.m. or by appointment.
VESID Community Information Sessions
VESID Community Information Sessions offered on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday at 10:00 am.

GED Classes
GED Classes offered each Monday throughout the school year (schedule varies during the
summer months). Presented by Olean Community Schools. Work toward earning your GED
Very basic Computer Class
Limited to 9 people. Introduction to Microsoft Windows and Word. A great primer for further computer training.
Advanced Computer Classes
FREE COMPUTER CLASSES offered including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Windows and also in specific functions
of these programs such as Mail Merge and Forms. The One Stop Center can also provide testing
to assess skill levels in these software programs to determine what level of training may be
