3/16/17 - ALL TRACTOR TRAILER TRAVEL BANS HAVE BEEN LIFTED AS OF LAST NIGHT (3/15)
Governor Cuomo issued a Tractor Trailer Ban beginning at 9 a.m. on 3/14/17 for I-86, I-90, I-81, I-84, and I-88.
Governor Cuomo issued a state-wide State of Emergency at midnight going into 3/14/17.
The State of Emergency and the Tractor Trailer Travel Ban (except for I-84 which has been lifted) remain in effect this morning, 3/15/17.
Forecast (from National Weather Service in Buffalo
3/13/17 - Predictions show a total of 12-18" of snowfall for the northern, western, and central areas of Cattaraugus County between tonight (3/13/17) and Wednesday (3/15/17). Areas in the southeastern portion of the County are looking at 8-12" of snow. This is a slow and steady storm that will spread out the accumulations over a 48 hour period of time.
3/14/17 - Snowfall predictions remain steady aside from a possible increase up to 18" for the Olean area. Slow and steady snowfall will continue through Wednesday (3/15/17).
3/15/17 - Light, blowing snow expected through this afternoon. 6-8" possible in the north, northwest, and central areas of the county. 4-6" possible in the southern areas, including the Olean area.
