Little Valley, NY - Sheriff Timothy S. Whitcomb announces job opportunities at the County Jail as a Part-Time Corrections Officer. The job responsibilities include guarding and attending to the care, well-being and discipline of jail inmates.

If accepted, 7 weeks of field training are required as well as successful completion of a Corrections Academy. Applicants MUST have availability to perform shift work, various shifts including weekends and holidays, and have flexible hours.

Qualifications include graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and pass a background investigation.
