Deputy Max Graham Certified as a Drug Recognition Expert

Sheriff Timothy Whitcomb proudly announces that Deputy Max Graham, an eight year veteran of the Sheriff's Office, has successfully completed a three week Drug Recognition Expert Training Course.

The purpose of the DRE program is to assist officers in removing impaired drivers from the roadway. Selected officers need to have a solid foundation in law enforcement and show a passion for DWI enforcement.

This extremely demanding and intense program is broken down into a classroom portion and then a certification portion which included testing individuals suspected of drug impairment. Both phases had to be successfully completed to graduate.

Deputy Graham was one of nineteen law enforcement officers to recently graduate from the program from across New York State.
