Free Legal Assistance available for Cattaraugus County Seniors

Did you know that the Cattaraugus County Department of the Aging/NY Connects may be able to help with legal services and/or can provide information about other attorney resources? The Department of the Aging has funding set aside to assist county seniors with priority concerns such as Social Security retirement benefits, family, and survivor benefits; railroad retirement benefits, and health care issues. Legal assistance can be provided for concerns such as eligibility, benefit amounts, and overpayments.

Anyone age sixty (60) or older and a resident of Cattaraugus County may have access to legal assistance if the legal issue is within the priority areas of concern. There is no charge for legal consultation. Seniors are given an opportunity to contribute toward the cost of services; however, no one is denied access to legal services due to inability or unwillingness to contribute toward the cost of services provided.
