Cattaraugus County Planning Seeks Input on Goals
On Monday, September 29th, 2014, the Cattaraugus County Department of Economic Development, Planning & Tourism is hosting the first of three Open Forums on initial goals of the comprehensive plan that will guide the future of Cattaraugus County. It will be held at the Cutco Theater on the JCC Campus in Olean, 260 North Union Street. Additional open houses will be held on Thursday, October 2nd, at the Randolph Town Hall, and on Tuesday, October 7th, at the County Center Building in Little Valley. All three Open Forums will begin at 6:30 pm. Light refreshments will be served.
After gathering months of input from the public, through a series of public open houses and through an online survey, the county has put together a draft list of goals. These goals are available on the County's website at www.cattco.com/planning/comprehensive-plan. Goals are a community's vision for the future. With these goals in mind, more specific actions will be formulated that will guide the county towards the vision. We are seeking your input on these goals as we develop the action steps necessary to move the county forward into the twenty-first century.
