"An Olio" Exhibit at the Cattaraugus County Museum
A new exhibit has opened at the Cattaraugus County Museum! It is called "An Olio", meaning a miscellaneous mixture or collection, because it features a number of widely varied items.
Many of these items, though very interesting, are one-of-a-kind and rarely fit into larger exhibits. Because of this, we have decided to create an exhibit solely dedicated to these unusual items!
On display are a Japanese flight suit, a lock from Newgate Prison, a spittoon from the old Board of Supervisors building, two high-wheeled bicycles, a 1934 voting machine, and many more artifacts from the depths of our collections!
The exhibit is open now and will run through April, 2014. Come and see!
